SEO Achieves Over 26 No.1 Rankings
A brief background
Ronseal are the UK’s number 1 wood care brand and have recently expanded into paint coatings and wall fillers. The client felt their existing site didn’t focus on the product decision making process and could do more to help consumers find the right product. The decision was made to redevelop the Ronseal site with SEO at the heart, and to launch an ongoing SEO campaign.
The objectives
After meeting with the client objectives for the SEO activity were decided:
- Ensure re-developed site is search engine friendly and optimised
- Ensure search engine visibility is maintained from the old to new site
- Improve natural search visibility and traffic for non-branded keywords including seasonality
What we did
Working closely with site developers and client we carried out analysis on the site to ensure natural search performance was maintained and provided on-going consultancy to ensure the new site was search engine friendly and optimal. We then formulated a monthly keyword targeting schedule taking into account seasonal trends to meet the target of improving visibility for their core markets.
